Core Cutters

Universal Converting Equipment has developed a complete range of core cutting machines using the latest technologies available to produce dust and burr free cores at high speed. The machines use the latest control technology to ensure cores are cut precisely to length at high speed.

There are three types of Universal Core Cutters:

• CCM – Manual core cutter with manual load of core and off-loading of cut cores. This machine has fast change parts for rapid size change. The special cutting system ensures dust free and burr free cuts. A feature of this unit is variable speed for the core rotation allowing the best speed to be selected to suit the material being cut and the core size. The CCM core cutters has a pneumatic cutting unit, allowing cores to be cut at the press of a button with consistent pressure giving excellent clean cuts time and time again.
  
  
• CCS – Semi Automatic Core Cutter. The CCS core cutter automates the cutting process. The operator enters the core lengths and the number of cores required into the touch screen. Once the core has been loaded, the CCS core cutter will automatically cut the required number of cores. The CCS core cutter incorporates a number of features that ensure every cut is a clean cut and maximises the life of the cutting blade. The latest servo control system gives precise cut lengths every time.
  
  
• CCA – Fully automatic high speed core cutter with automatic loading of the core and automatic off-loading of the cut cores. This machine can also be supplied with a core hopper allowing it to run for extended periods without the need for operator intervention. This unit is ideal for medium to high volume users who want to minimise labour costs.
  All the machines are capable of handling a range of core diameters from 38mm ID up to 152mm as standard with special systems available for cores outside of this range.
